Refund Policy

Last updated

This Refund Policy describes the circumstances in which BlockPhi (“BlockPhi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) will refund payments made for paid memberships and other Services available through www.blockphi.com and the BlockPhi private community (the “Services”). This Refund Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, End User Licence Agreement (EULA) and Privacy Policy. The order-of-precedence provisions in Section 28 of the Terms of Service apply in case of a conflict.

1. 7-day money-back guarantee

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first paid membership with BlockPhi. It applies to monthly and yearly plans alike.

  • If, within 7 calendar days of your first payment, you decide that the Services are not for you, you may request a full refund of that first payment. On a yearly plan, that is a full refund of your first yearly payment.
  • To claim the refund, email contact@blockphi.com from the email address you use for BlockPhi, with the subject line “Refund request” and the receipt number from your BlockPhi receipt email.
  • Cancelling your plan on your account page does not refund a payment by itself. To claim the refund, email us as described above.
  • We will process eligible refunds within 14 calendar days of receiving your request. The refund is issued through Whop to the original payment method.
  • Once the refund is issued, your access to the paid Services and to the paid parts of the private community ends immediately. Your account stays open as a free account.
  • If the unused part of that payment has already moved to a higher plan as extra days (Section 3.4), we refund the payment less the value of those days. You keep the days, and the refund does not end the higher plan.

The 7-day guarantee applies only to the first paid period of a new membership. It does not apply to renewal payments, to subsequent re-subscriptions after a previous refund, or to upgrades from a lower tier to a higher tier. When you upgrade, the unused part of your earlier plan is not refunded: it moves to the new plan as extra days, as described in Section 3.4. This does not affect any statutory rights described in Section 2.

The guarantee also covers your first payment for a yearly plan when you move to it from the monthly version of the same plan, for example from Gold monthly to Gold yearly. Within 7 calendar days of that payment, you may request a full refund of it. The yearly plan then ends. A monthly plan that ended on the move is not restarted, and the value of any extra days moved from it to the yearly plan is refunded too (Section 3.4).

2. EU, EEA and UK consumer withdrawal rights

2.1. If you are a consumer in the European Union, European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. However, by completing checkout on www.blockphi.com and accepting the terms shown there, you expressly request that BlockPhi begin providing the Services immediately and acknowledge that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you will lose your right of withdrawal once supply begins. Our 7-day money-back guarantee in Section 1 nevertheless applies as a contractual goodwill remedy.

2.2. If mandatory law nevertheless preserves your right of withdrawal, you may exercise it by emailing contact@blockphi.com within 14 calendar days of purchase. BlockPhi may deduct or charge a proportionate amount for the Services already supplied, and your access to the paid Services will end immediately.

3. Renewals, cancellation and upgrades

3.1 Renewals

Paid memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. The billing period of each plan, monthly or yearly, is shown at checkout.

Renewal payments are final and non-refundable, and no partial refunds or credits are provided for unused time. The exceptions are the right of consumers in the European Union, European Economic Area or United Kingdom in Section 3.2, the upgrade credit and the refunds in Section 3.4, a renewal charged in error (Section 3.5), and anything mandatory law requires.

3.2 Yearly plans

A yearly plan is paid once for 365 days of access. It renews every 365 days at its yearly price until you cancel. If we change that price, the new price applies only from a renewal date after we have given you reasonable prior notice, as Section 5 of the Terms of Service sets out.

About 30 days before each yearly renewal, we email you the renewal date, the amount and how to cancel.

Cancelling a yearly plan stops its next renewal. Your access runs to the end of the paid year.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, European Economic Area or United Kingdom and your yearly plan has renewed, you may end the renewed year at any time by giving one month’s notice. To do so, email contact@blockphi.com. If you cancel on your account page during a renewed year, we treat it as your notice under this paragraph. Your access ends when the notice period ends, and we refund the whole months of the renewed year that remain after that date.

3.3 Cancelling

You can prevent the next renewal by cancelling your plan on your account page at www.blockphi.com/account, under Billing, at any time before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you will retain access until then.

When you cancel, we may ask one optional question about why you are leaving. For some reasons, we may also offer 30 days at no charge. If you accept that offer, the 30 days are added to your plan, your cancellation is withdrawn, and the plan then renews at its own price. You do not have to answer the question or accept the offer, and your cancellation stands unless you accept it.

When a paid plan ends, your account stays open as a free account, with the free read-only channels of the private community. This does not apply after a chargeback or payment dispute (Section 7).

3.4 Moving to a higher plan

When you move up to a higher tier that includes your earlier plan, your earlier plan ends at once and is not charged again. Gold and Halal Gold include Member. Inner Circle and the lifetime membership include Member and Gold. The same applies when you move from the monthly to the yearly version of the same plan, for example from Gold monthly to Gold yearly.

The unused part of the earlier plan’s current paid period is not refunded. Instead, its value moves to the higher plan as extra days, at no charge. The value is the share of your last payment for the earlier plan, before tax and less any refund, that covers the time left in its period. It is turned into days at the higher plan’s own price, rounded up to a whole day. If nothing was paid for the current period, no days move. We email you the amount and the number of days.

If the value cannot be worked out, for example because the last payment for the earlier plan was refunded in full or disputed, or if the higher plan is a lifetime membership, the earlier plan instead ends at the end of its current paid period and is not charged again. You keep access to it until then. On a move from the monthly to the yearly version of the same plan, the monthly plan is then not ended for you: cancel it on your account page, or email contact@blockphi.com and we will end it.

If you are charged again for an earlier plan after a move that ends it under this section, or for a monthly plan after you have moved to its yearly version, email contact@blockphi.com. We will refund that charge, less any part of it that has already moved to the higher plan as extra days.

If the higher plan is refunded or ends before you have used those extra days, email contact@blockphi.com and we will refund their value.

Some moves do not end the earlier plan. Halal Gold is not ended by a move to Inner Circle or to the lifetime membership, because neither includes everything in Halal Gold. A move between Gold and Halal Gold is not a move up. In these cases both plans continue until you cancel one on your account page. If a promotional code made the higher plan free, your earlier plan continues and renews as before until a payment for the higher plan has been made. It then ends as this section describes.

3.5 Renewals charged in error

If you believe a renewal was processed in error (for example, after a confirmed cancellation, or due to a technical fault), contact contact@blockphi.com within 30 days of the renewal charge and we will investigate and refund where appropriate.

4. Inner Circle and one-off bookings

The Inner Circle tier and any one-off coaching or bespoke research engagements are subject to the same 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time purchases described in Section 1, but are not refundable once the relevant call, session, or bespoke deliverable has been booked, delivered, or commenced. Where a session is rescheduled in good time it is not treated as commencement.

5. Free tiers, trials, and promotional periods

  • A free tier or trial period is not a paid Service and so is not subject to a refund.
  • If a trial converts to a paid membership, the 7-day money-back guarantee runs from the date of the first paid charge (not from the start of the free trial).
  • Promotional or discounted memberships are also covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee for the first paid period at the actual price paid.

6. Refunds we will not provide

Other than as required by mandatory consumer-protection law, we will not provide a refund:

  • For periods after the 7-day money-back guarantee has expired, other than the refunds in Sections 3.2, 3.4 and 3.5.
  • For renewal payments processed before a cancellation took effect, other than the refunds in Sections 3.2, 3.4 and 3.5.
  • For loss of access caused by a violation of our Terms of Service (including but not limited to redistribution of paid Content, market-manipulation conduct, harassment, or breach of community rules) or by suspension or termination of your account for cause.
  • For investment losses, trading losses, missed opportunities, taxes, or any other consequential loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Content. The Services are not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. See Sections 14 and 15 of the Terms of Service for risk disclosures.
  • For dissatisfaction with market outcomes, with the performance of any framework or model, or with any third-party service (Whop, Discord, Substack, TradingView, Medium, YouTube, exchanges, or otherwise) that integrates with or is referenced by the Services.

This list is not exhaustive.

7. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to email contact@blockphi.com before raising a chargeback: most issues can be resolved quickly and amicably.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment-card dispute instead of contacting us first, your access to the Services and to the private community will be suspended pending resolution.

8. How to request a refund

Send an email to contact@blockphi.com including:

  • The email address you use for BlockPhi.
  • The receipt number from your BlockPhi receipt email for that payment.
  • The date of the payment you wish to have refunded.
  • A short reason for the request (optional, but it helps us improve).

If you cannot find the receipt, send the email address and the payment date, and we will find the payment.

We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and process eligible refunds within 14 calendar days.

9. Whop’s own refund policy

Payments are processed by Whop. Whop applies its own refund and chargeback policy to all transactions on its platform. Where Whop’s policy provides you with rights in addition to those described here, those rights remain available to you. Where this policy provides you with rights in addition to Whop’s policy, those rights apply as a goodwill commitment from BlockPhi.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

10.1 This Refund Policy, and any contractual or non-contractual dispute arising out of or in connection with it is governed by Belgian law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

10.2 Any such dispute or claim will be submitted, in accordance with section 10.3, to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch-speaking courts of Belgium.

10.3 Before filing a claim, you agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by sending a written notice to contact@blockphi.com describing the claim and the relief sought. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 60 days. If we cannot, either party may commence a formal proceeding in the forum designated in this Section. Any proceeding commenced without first complying with this Section shall be inadmissible.

11. Changes to this Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Services, or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date. The version of this Refund Policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
